Hi, I am Sylvia Banks-Claire – a wife, a mother, a believer, and a woman deeply rooted in faith, purpose and love.

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Dave Claire, for six years, and together we’re growing through the beauty and challenges of marriage. We live in the lush island paradise of Jamaica, where I also serve as a school principal – a role that allows me to lead, nurture and inspire the next generation.

At the heart of who I am is my love for God. My life’s passion is sharing His goodness, grace, and transforming power, especially with other wives and women walking through the ups and downs of married life. I started Rooted In Marriage to encourage wives like you – women who desire to build their homes on faith, grow in grace, and love intentionally through every season.

When I’m not writing devotionals or planning school programs, you’ll probably find me:

• Spending time in nature, soaking in God’s creation
• Reading inspirational books or scriptures
• Watching faith-based movies that uplift the soul
• Or simply enjoying laughter, a game of French dominoes, food and prayer with the family.

This blog is a space to be real – not perfect. A place to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning!) about love, submission, communication, healing, walking with Christ while walking in marriage.
